I discovered Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil about six months ago when I was researching skincare that helps with both anti-aging and rosacea. I have always had extremely sensitive skin, but when I developed rosacea a few years ago I learned to be even more careful with what I put on my face. I read about the Trilogy brand on several websites and figured it was worth trying since it was under $30 and sold at my local Whole Foods. I’m also trying to reduce the amount of unnatural cosmetics I put on my skin, so being organic was an added plus. I was impressed as soon as I started using it. Below is the description of what is does according to Triology’s website.
Just three drops twice a day repair and restore skin that radiates good health. Rosehip oil is good for the skin because it contains powerful essential fatty acids that improves skin hydration, elasticity and assists skin cell renewal and repair. Rosehip oil can be used for reducing scars and stretchmarks, balancing and hydrating the skin and combating fine lines and wrinkles.
I use it right after I wash my face at night, prior to putting on my moisturizer. I have found I use much less moisturizer since the rosehip oil provides plenty of hydration.
Where to Purchase Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil: Amazon, Whole Foods (in store)
Price: $23-$27 (ranges depending on when it is on sale)
Items I recommend using along with Trilogy Rosehip Oil:
Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser
Skinceuticals Renew Overnight Dry Skin-refining Moisturizer
EltaMD UV Physical Tinted Facial Sunscreen Broad-Spectrum SPF 41
The 3 reasons why I chose Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil:
It is hydrating.
I use 3-4 drops in the evening prior to my moisturizer and my face feels hydrated without feeling greasy. I’m doing everything I can to fight the inevitable lines and wrinkles, and keeping the skin moisturized is key. I no longer wake up with my face feeling tightness around my lips and eyes or flaky skin.
My skin feels softer.
Since I started using the rosehip oil, my face feels smoother and softer. My pores are more refined and the overall look and feel of my skin is better. Because the rosehip oil is deeply moisturizing, it has also helped reduce any redness and irritation.
It is less than $30.
I’m a firm believer in “you get what you pay for,” but this product proves that is not always the case. I’ve used serums that cost $100+ and I honestly can’t tell a difference between those and the Trilogy rosehip oil. While time will tell if they are truly comparable, I love using an organic product that costs less $30.
