Adidas Unisex Studio II Backpack

Adidas Unisex Studio II Backpack

I spent most of last year looking for a new workout/work bag. I go straight to the YMCA after work so I take my bag to work and change there everyday. My old gym bag was a messenger bag that I carried for almost 10 years that I purchased at Crate & Barrel. I loved it for many reasons, but hated that my shoes (even though I had them in a separate shoe bag) were in the same zippered compartment as my clothes. I also wanted to switch from a messenger bag to a backpack so it was easier to carry with everything else I had for work.  The Adidas Unisex Studio II Backpack was the first bag that I found that covered my wishlist at a reasonable price. It became one of my favorite Christmas presents that I got last year!

Adidas Unisex Studio II Backpack

Where to Purchase: Amazon

Price: $65

I would recommend adding this backpack to your Amazon wishlist and waiting for it to go on sale. Around Christmas it sold on Amazon for $45 but I have seen it go as low as $37.  There are different color options at different price points as well.

Items I recommend using along with:

Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Water Bottle

Nike Free Flyknit Running Shoes

Nike Tempo Workout Shorts

The 3 reasons why I chose the Adidas Unisex Studio II Backpack:

Separate shoe compartment.

A separate shoe compartment was my #1 requirement. The bottom of any shoe is one of the dirtiest areas so I wanted them to be separate from everything else in my backpack. The zippered area on the bottom of the Adidas Unixes Studio II Backpack is perfect for my workout shoes and then my work shoes after I have changed. Be aware that the bigger the shoes, the less space you have in the rest of the bag to store everything.

Water bottle holder.

A water bottle holder was something else I wish my old workout bag had. I have this Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Water Bottle and use it all day at work then take it with me to the YMCA. With my keys, purse, and everything else I carry, its much easier to slip the water bottle in the side of the backpack.

Four zippered compartments, including one for a laptop.

I love zippers and this backpack has four zippered compartments for everything I need to carry. A bonus is the back compartment also has a place for a laptop. I have two laptops, one for work and a personal one, and although I don’t carry them everyday, it is nice to have the option to slip one of them into my workout bag. With my laptop in one compartment and my shoes in another, I still have two others for my clothes and anything else I need to carry into work. The small zippered compartment at the very top is great for storing jewelry or any other smaller items.
