I bought a pair of Cole Haan Women’s Nantucket Loafers for a 10-day trip to Europe and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable, casual, walking shoe. I’ve seen them for years at Nordstrom Rack and thought they were cute, but when my sister told me they were the most comfortable shoe she had ever worn, I was sold. Since I was looking for a good walking shoe for my trip, I figured they were worth trying. I love them! They were comfortable to wear since the first day I put them on.
Cole Haan has a lot of holiday sales that save you an additional 30% off so I recommend waiting for a sale to purchase. I know they had one for Memorial Day, the 4th of July, Labor Day (when I bought mine), and a huge Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale is going on now if you’re in the market!

They are comfortable.
We walked a lot in Europe and these loafers did not disappoint. They had good support so that my feet didn’t ache and the backs did not rub against my heel. I purchased similar low liner socks to wear with them to help my feet from sweating. I would consider buying gel inserts the next time I wear these loafers for a walking trip just because my heel tends to hurt from walking on pavement too long with any shoe.
They don’t look like tennis shoes.
The main reason I bought these loafers was because I wanted a casual shoe that wasn’t too casual like a tennis shoe/sneaker. I guess I wanted the comfort of a tennis shoe but not the look of one. If that makes sense, and it’s what you are looking for, you will love the Cole Haan Nantucket loafer.
They go with everything.
I like to only bring one or two pairs of shoes with me when I travel since I only pack a carry-on. Tennis shoes are usually the most comfortable shoe to wear when walking as much as we do, but they are a little too casual to wear with everything. I love the Cole Haan loafers because they can be dressed up a little with black pants or a casual skirt, or they look great with jeans. I bought the black ones so they didn’t show dirt but there are other neutral colors if you are traveling during the spring or summer months.
